Impossible Venison Pie Recipe

1 large
2 cloves
2 teaspoons
1/4 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1 cup
2/3 cup
2 cups
1 1/4 cups
3 large
3/4 cup
ground venison
onion, chopped
garlic, minced
chili powder
taco sauce
tortilla chips, crushed
Mexican Blend cheese, shredded
Bisquick baking mix

nonstick pan spray

Oven Temp: 400°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Pan Type: 9" pie plate

Venison Pie Directions

Preheat Oven. Spray pie plate with pan spray.

In a large skillet cook the venison, onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink in the middle.
Drain the venison, then add the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup of the taco sauce and stir.
Layer crushed tortilla chips evenly in bottom of pan.
Layer 1 cup of the cheese on top of crushed tortilla chips.
Spoon the venison meat mixture on top of cheese.
In a medium bowl beat the eggs until frothy.
Add the milk and Bisquick, mix well and pour mixture over the other ingredients in pie plate.
Bake this impossible venison pie for the allotted time or until knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Remove venison pie from oven and cover with rest of the taco sauce and cheese.
Let pie set 10 minutes before serving.
Serve venison pie with salsa and sour cream if desired.
