Slow Cooked Goose Stew Recipe

1 uncooked goose
1 large onion, chopped
1 large red pepper
2 large green pepper
1 large yellow pepper
2 medium carrots
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can ready cut tomatoes
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 – 8 ounce package mushrooms, sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Oven Temp: low
Recipe Cooking Time: 6 to 8 hours
Pan Type: crock pot


Goose Stew Directions

Cut goose into bite size stew pieces and place into a crock pot.
Add chopped onion.
Cut peppers into 1/2" wide strips and add to slow cooking crock pot.
Cut carrots into 1" pieces, add to stew pot.
Add mushrooms, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper if desired.
Pour tomatoes over the top and cook goose stew for the allotted time.
Serve slow cooked goose stew over cooked rice or pasta.

Note: Spice up your goose stew and then add any vegetables you like. We make goose stew every time our family gets together. It's good, healthy and taste wonderful. Most good and healthy foods are made from healthy ingredients that will keep you as healthy as you can be. Always try to shop local for as many of the ingredients as you can. Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
