Roast Duck Chinese Recipe

1/2 – 1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
1 cup
1 cup
duck
salt
duck fat
butter
chicken broth
dry white wine
Oven Temp: 450°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Pan Type: covered roasting pan


Roast Duck Directions

Preheat Oven.

Prick the skin of the duck and rub with salt.
Place duck into a roasting pan on a rack.
Bake roast duck for 30 minutes at 450°.
Remove roasted duck from oven and drain off fat reserving 1 tablespoon.
Decrease oven temp to 350°.
Put roast duck back into the roasting pan on rack.
Mix remaining ingredients.
Baste the duck with the above mixture 4 times during cooking.
Place duck into the oven to bake.
Serve roast duck along with orange sauce.
Simply mix 1 cup orange juice & 1 tablespoon of flour in a sauce pan over medium heat until thick.
