Creamy Zucchini Recipe

6 small
2/3 cup
1 tablespoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
3 tablespoons
1/2 cup
zucchini
creamy sour cream
butter
salt
pepper
onion powder
bread crumbs
cheddar cheese, grated

Oven Temp: 375°
Recipe Cooking Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Pan Type: 8" pie plate


Creamy Zucchini Recipe Directions

Preheat Oven.

Cut zucchini in 1/2 inch slices.
Place zucchini in a saucepan with enough water to cover.
Bring zucchini to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain and pour into a pie plate.
In a small saucepan, combine the creamy sour cream, 1/4 cup of the cheese, salt, pepper and onion powder.
Stir creamy ingredients over heat until blended well.
Pour this creamy part over the zucchini.
Melt the butter and mix with the crumbs.
Sprinkle over the creamy zucchini.
Top zucchini with the remaining cheese and bake.

Recipe Serves: about 7 or more.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
