Golden Potatoes Recipe

6 or 7 medium
1/4 cup
2 cups
1/4 cup
1 can
2 cups
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon
1/2 cup
1/4 cup
red bliss potatoes
butter
sour cream
onion, chopped
undiluted cream of chicken soup
cheddar cheese, grated
salt
pepper
crushed golden corn flakes (optional)
butter melted (optional)

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Pan Type: 2  1/2 quart casserole dish


Golden Potatoes Directions

Preheat Oven.

Cook the golden red potatoes with skins on only until firm but tender.
Place potatoes into refrigerator to cool for several hours or overnight.
Grate the potatoes.
Set aside.
Put the soup, sour cream, salt and pepper and butter into a saucepan and heat until smooth.
In a buttered 2 1/2 quart casserole dish layer the potatoes, cream mixture, onion and cheese.
Top with golden corn flake topping if desired.
Bake this golden potatoes recipe and serve.
