Wonderful Cheese Potatoes Recipe

4 large
8 ounces
1 cup
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon
1 – 2 teaspoons
baking potatoes
sharp cheddar cheese, grated
sour cream
green onions, chopped
garlic powder
onion powder
parsley flakes

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Cheese Potatoes Directions

Preheat Oven.

Wash the potatoes and wrap into foil.
Bake potatoes for 1 hour or so.
Let potatoes cool for 10 minutes.
Cut potatoes almost in half; scoop out part of the potato leaving about 1/4 – 1/2"of the potato on the skin so it keeps a good potato shape.
Set potato skins aside.
Combine the scooped out potatoes and butter in large mixing bowl.
Beat slightly with mixer and add remaining recipe ingredients and whip. Spoon the cheese potato mixture back into the skins.
Wrap the wonderful cheese potatoes into foil, leaving tops uncovered and then bake.

Recipe Serves: One cheese potato per person.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
