California Vegetables and Cheese Bake Recipe

2 – 16 ounce bags
1/3 cup
4 tablespoons
8 ounce
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1 cup
4 tablespoons
broccoli, cauliflower and carrots frozen
American cheese, shredded
ground black pepper
Ritz crackers, crushed

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 20 to 30 minutes
Pan Type: 2 quart casserole

California Vegetables Directions

Preheat Oven.

Cook frozen california vegetables in a small amount of water and cook according to package directions.
Pour california vegetables into a colander to drain when finished cooking.
In microwave proof bowl, combine in the following order, milk, first amount of butter and cheese.
Microwave for 1 minute at a time stirring well after each minute until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
Put the cooked California vegetables into the bowl.
Season the cooked vegetables with salt and pepper.
Pour cheese sauce over cooked california vegetables.
In a small microwave proof bowl, melt second amount of butter. Add the cracker crumbs and stir to coat.
Sprinkle buttered crumbs over top of cheese bake casserole and bake california vegetables until bubbly.
