Three Bean Bake Recipe

4 slices
1 large
1 – 16 ounce can
1 – 16 ounce can
1 – 16 ounce can
1/4 pound
1/3 cup
1/2 cup
2 tablespoons
1/4 cup
onion, chopped
baked beans in tomato sauce, not drained
kidney beans, drained
lima beans, drained
American cheese, cubed
light brown sugar
Worcestershire sauce
parmesan cheese, grated

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Pan Type: 1  1/2 quart casserole

Three Bean Bake Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a skillet, brown the bacon until crisp.
Drain bacon on paper towels.
Add onion to skillet and cook until tender.
Remove onions with a slotted spoon, drain off any excess fat.
In an oven proof shallow dish, crumble the bacon.
Add onion, un drained 3 beans, baked beans, drained kidney and lima beans.
Stir in ketchup, cheese, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar.
Mix three bean recipe together well.
Sprinkle three beans top with cheese and bake.

This 3 bean bake dish makes a wonderful compliment to any of your favorite barbecued meat recipes.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
