Mustard Sauce Recipe

1/8 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
1/2 cup
1/2 teaspoon
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
egg yolk
onion powder
salt
white wine vinegar
olive oil, divided
lemon juice
Dijon style mustard
honey

Mustard sauce is great on many kinds of meat.


Mustard Sauce Directions

Put the egg yolk, onion powder, salt and pepper into a mixer bowl and beat at medium speed with electric mixer until blended.
Beat in the vinegar.
Turn mixer to high speed.
Add 1/4 cup of the oil in a thin stream, while beating constantly for 5 minutes.
Scrape sides of bowl.
Beat in lemon juice.
With mixer on high speed add the remaining 1/4 cup oil in a thin stream.
Turn mixer to low speed.
Beat in the mustard and honey.
Pour mustard sauce into an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serve this mustard sauce recipe with ham, sausage or corned beef.
