Shredded Beef Recipe

1 – package, dry
1 – package, dry
beef roast shredded
Italian salad dressing
au jus gravy mix

Crock Pot Temp: low
Recipe Cooking Time: 12 hours
Pan Type: crock pot

Shredded Beef Directions

Place beef roast into a crock pot.
DO NOT: Brown nor add liquid.
Sprinkle each seasoning package on top of the roast.
Cook the beef 12 hours on low, turning beef roast at about 6 hours.
The beef will make liquid as it cooks. This is the only liquid it needs while it cooking.
Shred the beef and it will absorb the liquid.
Serve shredded beef on buttered buns. Goes good with your favorite chips or potatoes!!
There will not be any leftovers with this shredded beef dish!!!
Note: I use a beef roast that will fit into my crockpot without cutting it. Also, I try to use Angus beef roast.

Recipe Serves: about 4

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
