Coney Dog Recipe

1 pound
1 large
1 clove
1 tablespoons
1/2 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
1 cup
2 tablespoons
1/2 cup
1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon

4 ounces
lean ground beef
onion, chopped
garlic, minced
chili powder
salt
pepper
tomato sauce
tomato paste
water
Worcestershire sauce
mustard
hot dogs
hot dog buns
cheddar cheese, shredded

chopped onions, optional

Stove Temp: medium
Recipe Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Pan Type: skillet


Coney Dog Directions

In a large skillet cook the ground beef, chopped onions, and garlic until meat is no longer pink in the middle.
Drain well and return to skillet.
Add the chili powder, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, Worcestershire sauce, and the mustard.
Cook coney mixture for 15 minutes or until thickened and most of water has absorbed.
Cook the coney hot dogs.

To assemble coney dog: open bun, place hotdog into the bun, and top with coney dog sauce.
Sprinkle coney dog with raw chopped onions and shredded cheese if desired.
Serve this yummy coney hot dog along with your favorite chips.

Recipe Serves: about 8 to 10
