Tomato Cheese Sandwich Recipe

8 pieces
1 large
2 large
4 slices
2 slices
2 tablespoons
regular sliced bacon
slices tomato
toasted bread
Swiss cheese

salt & pepper to taste

Stove Temp: medium
Recipe Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Pan Type: skillet

Tomato Cheese Sandwich Directions

Cook bacon until crisp.
Drain on paper towels.
Peel avocado and cut in half.
Toast sandwich bread.
Place a piece of toast on serving plate.
Spread the toast with mayonnaise.
Top each slice of bread with a slice of Swiss cheese.
Top the cheese with four slices cooked bacon.
Add tomato, add as many slices of tomato as you like.
Slice 1/2 of avocado and put on top of the bacon.
Season tomato with salt and pepper to taste.
Spread mayonnaise on top of toast and put on top of tomato cheese sandwich to close the sandwich.
Serve your tomato sandwich along with your favorite soup.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
