Swiss Cheese Bacon Burger Recipe

1 pound lean
1/4 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
3 slices
3 slices

ground beef
salt
pepper
Swiss cheese
tomato
bacon, cooked crisp
cracked wheat buns
avocado, sliced, optional

Stove Temp: medium
Recipe Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Pan Type: large skillet


Swiss Cheese Bacon Burger Directions

Heat the skillet over medium heat.
Divide the burger meat into 3 pieces and shape into 3 burger patties.
Cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
Turn, cover and cook until done on second side, about 10 minutes.
Toast buns under broiler until lightly brown.
Place one slice of swiss cheese onto each burger, cover until swiss cheese is melted.
Remove burgers from pan.
Place one burger on bottom half of bun.
Top with condiments of your choice.
Cover with top half of bun and serve cheese bacon burger along with your favorite side dishes.
Recipe Note: You can make four burger patties per pound of meat if you prefer. Cook swiss cheese bacon burgers in a skillet or on a grill.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
