Sauerkraut Salad Recipe

6 – 8 slices

1/8 teaspoon

onions, chopped small
celery, chopped fine
green bell pepper, chopped
sauerkraut, drained
regular cut bacon, cooked crisp
white vinegar
sugar
ground black pepper

Sauerkraut Salad Directions

In a large glass salad bowl combine the chopped onions, chopped celery, chopped green peppers and the drained sauerkraut.
Crumble the bacon over the sauerkraut and toss salad all together.

In a large saucepan combine the sugar, vinegar and ground black pepper.
Bring mixture to a boil.
Pour over sauerkraut salad mixture and leave covered in the refrigerator for 4 days before serving.

Recipe Serves: about 12
