Keeps Well Coleslaw Recipe

1 cup
1 large

1 tablespoon
2 cups
2 cups
2 teaspoons
2 teaspoons
head of green cabbage, chopped fine
carrots, shredded
green bell pepper, chopped
onions, chopped fine
salt
white vinegar
sugar
celery seeds
mustard seeds

Coleslaw Recipe Directions

In a large salad bowl combine the chopped cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped green pepper, chopped onion and salt.
Mix coleslaw vegetables well.
Cover with enough cold water to cover the vegetables.
Let coleslaw vegetables set in cold water for 2 hours.
In the meantime, combine in large saucepan, vinegar, sugar, celery seeds and mustard seeds.
Bring keeps well mixture to a full boil.
Drain vegetables well and pour sauce over coleslaw cabbage mixture.
Stir coleslaw recipe well.

Coleslaw will keep in the refrigerator for several weeks.
