Spanish Rice Recipe 2

8 slices
1 large
1 large
1 clove
1 can
1/4 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
2 cups
bacon, diced
onion, chopped
green bell pepper, chopped
garlic, minced
stewed tomatoes
ground black pepper
salt
rice, cooked

Stove Temp: medium
Recipe Cooking Time: 15 to 20 minutes
Pan Type: skillet


Spanish Rice Directions

Follow these spanish rice recipe directions carefully.

In a large skillet cook bacon until crisp.
Remove bacon from skillet and place on paper towels to drain. Add the chopped onions, chopped green bell pepper and garlic.
Cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender.
Drain off excess fat.
Add the can of un drained stewed tomatoes, cooked rice, black pepper and salt.
Heat rice thoroughly.
Transfer spanish rice mixture to serving dish.
Crumble bacon on top.
Serve spanish rice along with your favorite main dish.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
