Lemon Lime Grilled Halibut Recipe

2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
1/4 cup
1/4 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
1 clove
1/4 teaspoon
halibut steaks, 3/4 “thick
lime juice
lemon juice
olive oil
ground black pepper
garlic, chopped fine
ground cumin


Grill Temp: hot
Recipe Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Pan Type: grill

Grilled Halibut Directions

Place halibut steaks into a shallow dish.
In a small bowl combine, lemon juice, lime juice, olive oil, salt, ground pepper, minced garlic and ground cumin.
Mix well.
Pour over halibut.
Turn halibut over once.
Cover and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes to marinate before grilling.
Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
Take marinated halibut out of refrigerator.
Remove fish from marinate.
Reserve marinates.
Cover and grill halibut for 10 minutes.
Brush with reserved marinate twice during grilling.
Turn fish, brush with marinate twice.
Cook 5 minutes or until halibut flakes easily with fork.
Serve this lemon lime grilled halibut with your favorite side dish.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
