Polynesian Pork Chops Recipe

6 thick cut
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
3 tablespoons
1 small
1 clove
4 stalks
1 small
1 – 20 ounce can
2 cups
1/4 cup
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 cup
2 teaspoons
pork chops, bone in
salt
ground black pepper
butter
onion, chopped
garlic, minced
celery, sliced
green bell pepper, chopped
pineapple chunks
pineapple juice
vinegar
soy sauce
molasses
ground ginger
chicken broth
cornstarch

 

Stove Temp: medium
Recipe Cooking Time: 60 minutes
Pan Type: large skillet


Polynesian Pork Chops Directions

Heat butter in skillet.
Salt and pepper pork chops.
Brown pork chops in butter about 15 minutes each side.
Drain excess fat.
Remove pork chops to plate.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic to skillet, cook until tender.
Drain off excess fat.
Add sliced celery and chopped green onion.
Cook 5 minute stirring occasionally.
Add, pineapple juice and add enough water to make 2 cups, pineapple chunks, vinegar, soy sauce, molasses and ginger. Bring polynesian mixture to a boil.
Mix corn starch with chicken broth.
Stir into skillet and stir until thickened.
Return pork chops to skillet.
Reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes or until pork chops are fork tender.
Serve polynesian pork chops with rice and your favorite side dish.
