Pork Chop Suey Recipe

1 pound
1 large
3 stalks
1 teaspoon
1 cup
1 can
1/2 cup
2 tablespoons
lean pork loin
onion, chopped
celery, sliced
bean sprouts

Stove Temp: medium
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Pan Type: large skillet

Pork Chop Suey Directions

Cook the meat until no longer pink.
Add the chopped onion when pork chops are tender and cook an additional 5 minutes.
Add the celery, salt and water.
Cover and cook 5 minutes.
Add the bean sprouts.
Mix the second amount of water with the cornstarch.
Add cornstarch mixture to the pork chop suey and stir until thickened. Serve chop suey over hot cooked rice.
Add soy sauce to taste and serve pork chop suey with your favorite salad.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
