Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe

4 halves
1 teaspoon

Batter:
1/2 cup
1/4 cup
1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
3/4 cup

Sweet & Sour Sauce:
3/4 cup
2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
2/3 cup
1 tablespoon

Garnish:
1 large
1 small
1 small can
2 – 3 cups
boneless, skinless chicken breast
salt


flour
cornstarch
baking powder
baking soda
cold water


water
cornstarch
roasted garlic vinegar
ketchup
sugar
molasses


tomato, wedged
green pepper, wedged
pineapple chunks, drained
olive oil for frying chicken

 

Oil Temp: 375°
Recipe Cooking Time: 4 minutes
Pan Type: deep fryer or wok


Sweet and Sour Chicken Directions

Cut chicken into 1/2" thick slices.
Heat oil.
Rub salt into chicken pieces.
Dip into batter and deep fry in oil until golden brown.
Combine sweet and sour ingredients in a pan. Bring sauce to a full boil, stirring constantly.
Arrange tomato, pepper and pineapple chunks on top of chicken.
Pour sweet and sour sauce over chicken and serve with steamed white rice and your favorite side dish.
