Pineapple Glazed Chicken Recipe

4 – 6
1/4 teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon
1 – 8 oz. can
3/4 cup
1 teaspoon
chicken breast, halves
salt
pepper
pineapple tidbits
pineapple juice
cornstarch

 

Oven Temp: 375°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 to 35 minutes
Pan Type: 9" x 13" baking pan


Pineapple Glazed Chicken Directions

Preheated oven:

Layer chicken breast in bottom of pan and season with salt and pepper.
Bake chicken for 20 minutes.
Make the pineapple glaze.
Drain pineapple, save juice and place in saucepan.
Add enough water to the juice to make 3/4 cup and pour into saucepan.
Add the cornstarch and cook pineapple glaze until thickened.
Remove chicken from oven.
Drain off any juice from pan and cover chicken with pineapple glazed mixture.
Return to oven and bake for remainder of time.
This pineapple glazed chicken recipe is great served with rice and your favorite side dish.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
