Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Breast Recipe

1/2 cup
1 cup
1/3 cup
1/3 cup
1 tablespoon
2 teaspoons
6 large
1 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1 – 15.25 ounce can
pineapple juice
barbeque sauce
brown sugar
honey
lemon juice
lemon rind, grated
chicken breasts bone in
salt
ground black pepper
pineapple slices, reserve juice

 

Grill Temp: hot
Recipe Cooking Time: 45 minutes


Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Directions

Preheat Grill.

Place chicken breast in pot.
Cover with water.
Boil for 30 minutes.
Transfer to platter.
In a small saucepan combine; pineapple juice, barbeque sauce, brown sugar, honey, lemon juice and lemon rind.
Bring hawaiian mixture to a boil.
Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Place chicken breast on grill, season with salt and pepper. Baste chicken with hawaiian barbeque sauce mixture several times during cooking.
Cook grilled chicken breast 10 to 15 minutes, turn and baste with sauce.
Cook additional 10 minutes or until desired doneness.
Place pineapple slices on grill and brown on both sides.
To serve, place sliced pineapple on the grilled chicken and serve with your favorite potatoes.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
