Chicken & Rice Dinner Recipe

Chicken and Rice Dinner Pic

1 can
1 can
2 cans
1 envelope
1 1/2 cups
chicken cut up
cream of mushroom soup
sliced mushrooms
water
dry onion soup
uncooked rice

 

Oven Temp: 325°
Recipe Cooking Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Pan Type: baking pan

 

Chicken and Rice Directions

Preheat Oven.

Heat the oil in a large skillet.
Add the chicken pieces and brown well on both sides.
Mix the remaining ingredients.
Pour into pan, place browned chicken on top of rice mixture. Cover and bake for allotted time.
Serve chicken and rice with your favorite vegetable or salad.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
