Breast of Chicken on Rice Recipe

1   10 oz   can
1 soup can
3/4 cup
1 can
1 envelope
2
cream of mushroom soup
milk
uncooked regular rice
mushrooms stems and pieces and liquid
onion soup mix
chicken breasts split in half or other chicken pieces

 

Oven Temp: 350º
Recipe Cooking Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Pan Type: baking dish


Chicken on Rice Directions

Preheat oven.

Mix mushroom soup with the milk and reserve 1/2 of this mixture for the topping.
Mix together the rice, mushrooms and 1/2 the onion soup flakes, reserve half the onion soup flakes for topping.
Pour into baking dish.
Place chicken breast pieces on top of the rice mixture.
Pour the reserved mushroom soup over the chicken and rice. Sprinkle with reserved onion soup flakes.
Cover and place in oven to bake for 1 hour.
Uncover chicken on rice and bake another 15 minutes to brown the top.
Serve recipe with your favorite vegetable and warm rolls.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
