Veal Supreme Recipe

2 pounds
2 tablespoons
1/4 cup
1/4 cup
1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1 cup
2 tablespoons
1 – 4 ounce can
veal round, thinly sliced
butter
flour
water
salt
pepper
sour cream
onion, finely chopped
mushrooms, sliced

 

Oven Temp: 325º
Recipe Cooking Time: 60 minutes
Pan Type: 2 quart casserole


Veal Directions

Preheat Oven.

Cut the veal into strips.
Heat the butter in skillet.
Place the veal in skillet with butter and cook until nicely brown. Remove the veal from skillet and add onion, stirring until tender. Add the flour and water and stir to make a thick sauce.
Add the sour cream and mushrooms and mix.
Put veal into casserole dish and cover with sauce.
Place veal casserole in the oven to bake.
Good served over rice or hot buttered noodles and your favorite salad.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
