Beef Chicken Gravies Lamb Pork Seafood and Fish Turkey

Steak & Sour Cream Recipe

1 pound
1/4 cup
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
2 tablespoons
1/2 cup
1 – 16 ounce can
1/2 teaspoon
1 – 4 ounce can
1 – 10 ounce package
1/2 cup
3 – 4 cups
round steak
flour
salt
ground black pepper
garlic powder
onion, powder
olive oil
onion, chopped
beef broth
thyme
mushrooms, sliced
frozen green peas, thawed
dairy sour cream
hot cooked rice or noodles

 

Stove Temp: low
Recipe Cooking Time: 45 to 60 minutes
Pan Type: skillet


Steak and Sour Cream Directions

Cut steak meat into serving size pieces.
Combine in a shallow dish the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
Heat the oil.
Dredge the steak into the flour mixture.
Brown the steak.
Add the onions and cook steak until tender.
Add the beef broth and thyme.
Bring mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for allotted time or until meat is tender.
Add the drained mushrooms and thawed peas and cook for 10 more minutes.
Add the sour cream and heat thoroughly.
Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles and your favorite warm bread. A side of sour cream will bring even more smiles.
