Beef Sirloin Tip Roast Recipe

3 – 4 pounds
sirloin tip roast

Oven Temp: 350º
Recipe Cooking Time: 2 1/2 hours
Pan Type: roaster pan

Beef Sirloin Tip Roast Directions

No need to preheat the oven.

Season the sirloin tip beef if desired. Use one or more of my suggestions from list below.
Place the beef sirloin roast fat side up on a rack in pan.
Roast uncovered for the allotted time or until desired doneness.
Rare140º, well 170º.

Beef Sirloin Roast Seasoning Suggestions
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper
Recipe Note: I mix all my spices together and then rub them over the roast.
After beef sirloin tip roast is done, cover with foil, let stand 10 minutes before carving.
Serve beef sirloin tip roast along with your favorite vegetable and potato.

Servings: about 3 servings per pound

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
