Horseradish Sauce Low Fat Recipe

1/2 cup
1/2 cup
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
1/4 teaspoon
reduced fat mayonnaise
reduced fat dairy sour cream
spicy mustard
prepared horseradish
granulated onion

Container Type: small sealable bowl


Horseradish Sauce Directions

In a small bowl combine, low fat mayonnaise low fat dairy sour cream, spicy mustard, prepared horseradish and granulated garlic.
Mix with fork to blend flavors.
Put in airtight container and refrigerate horseradish sauce for several hours so flavors can marinate together.

Recipe Yields: 1 1/4 cups

Note: This is a great low fat sauce recipe for steak. I especially like this horseradish sauce low fat recipe with marinated and grilled flank steak.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
