Love My Chocolate Pudding Recipe

1/4 cup
1/2 cup
2 tablespoons
1/8 teaspoon
2 cups
1 large
1/2 teaspoon
Hershey’s cocoa
granulated sugar
cornstarch
salt
1% milk
egg
vanilla

 

Stovetop Temp: medium heat
Recipe Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Pan Type: medium saucepan


Chocolate Pudding Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine the cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Stir well with wooden spoon using the back of spoon to break up any lumps in the cocoa or cornstarch.
Add the milk and stir to blend.
Cook chocolate mixture over medium heat, while constantly stirring until mixture starts to boil and thickens.
Cook for 1 minute after chocolate mixture starts to boil.
Remove from heat.
Beat the egg in a small bowl.
Add 2 spoons of hot mixture to beaten egg and mix quickly.
Pour egg mixture into pudding and mix well.
Return to heat and cook until mixture comes to a boil, while stirring constantly.
Remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla.
Pour into custard pudding cups.
Let cool to room temperature before putting chocolate pudding into refrigerator.
Chill pudding before serving.
