Poor Mans Stew Recipe

2 pounds
1 large
2 stalks
4 large
2 large
2 slices
1 tablespoon
2 cans
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
ground beef
onion, chopped
celery
carrots
potatoes
bread
sugar
tomato soup
salt
pepper

 

Oven Temp: 325°
Recipe Cooking Time: 2 hours
Pan Type: dutch oven



Poor Mans Stew Directions

Preheat Oven.

Combine raw ground beef stew meat and chopped onions.
Cut celery and carrots into 1” pieces and add to pan.
Cube the bread and add to pan.
Cut the potatoes into large cubes and add to pan.
Add the sugar, soup, salt and pepper.
Mix well.
Cover and bake poor mans stew for the allotted time or until meat and vegetables are done and mixture has thickened.
Stir about half way through cooking to break up the stew meat.
Serve with your favorite poor mans bread.

Recipe Serves: 6 to 8
