Spaghetti Crust Pizza Recipe

Spaghetti crust pizza recipe. Tossed with egg and milk, then spread onto a pizza pan, cooked spaghetti becomes the base of this deliciously meaty, cheesy pizza pie.

Spaghetti Crust Pizza

12 ounces spaghetti noodles
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 pound Italian sausage, bulk
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon oregano
6 ounces pepperoni, sliced
2 ounce can black olives, sliced
2 – 14 ounce jars pizza sauce
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time:
Pan Type: baking pan

Spaghetti 4 Crust Pizza Directions

Preheat Oven.

Cook pasta according to package directions.
Drain and transfer to a large bowl.
Beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper together.
Pour over top of spaghetti.
Top with grated parmesan cheese. Set to the side.
In a skillet, brown the sausage, onions, pepper, garlic and oregano.
Drain well.
Spread meat mixture over spaghetti crust.
Layer sliced pepperoni on top of sausage mixture.
Spoon the pizza sauce on top of pepperoni.
Sprinkle cheese on top of pepperoni and bake for allotted time.
Serve with your favorite beverage.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup.
