Chicken Gizzard Recipe

1 pound
4 cups
1/4 cup
1/2 cup
1/2 teaspoon
1 – 12 ounce bag
1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
chicken gizzards
water
onion, chopped
celery, diced
marjoram
egg noodles
salt
ground black pepper

Stove Temp: medium
Recipe Cooking Time: 35 to 45 minutes
Pan Type: large pot


Chicken Gizzard Directions

Place chicken gizzards in pot.
Add water, chopped onion, diced celery and marjoram.
Bring chicken gizzards and ingredients to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and cook until gizzards are tender. Remove cover, bring back to a boil.
Add the noodles and cook over medium heat until noodles are tender and broth had cooked down some.
Stir in the salt and pepper.
Serve with your favorite potatoes if desired.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
