Baked Lasagna Recipe

2 – 6 ounce cans

9 lasagna
3 cups
2 large
1/2 cup
1 pound
Italian sausage
lean ground beef
garlic, minced
ground black pepper
ready cut tomatoes
parsley flakes
tomato paste
cream style cottage cheese
eggs, slightly beaten
grated parmesan cheese
mozzarella cheese, sliced thin

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Pan Type: baking pan

Baked Lasagna Directions

Preheat Oven.

Brown the meat, drain off any excess fat.
Add the basil, garlic, salt, pepper, tomatoes, parsley flakes, tomato paste and water.
Bring mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes uncovered.
Cook noodles according to package directions.
Pour into colander to drain.
Rinse in cold water.
In a bowl beat the eggs and stir in the cottage cheese.
Add the parmesan cheese and mix well.
Put a small amount of sauce in bottom of pan.
Arrange 3 lasagna noodles on sauce.
Top with one third of the sauce and one third of the cheese mixture.
Top each layer with one third of the mozzarella cheese.
Repeat layers ending with mozzarella cheese.
Bake for the allotted time.
Let set for 15 minutes after removing from the oven before serving.
Serve baked lasagna with your favorite garlic bread sticks.
