One Bowl Sour Cream Cake Recipe

1 cup
1/2 teaspoon
3 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
1 large
1 cup
sugar
all purpose flour
salt
baking cocoa
baking soda
vanilla
egg
dairy sour cream
nonstick pan spray

Oven Temp: 325°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 to 35 minutes
Pan Type: 8" x 8" pan


Sour Cream Cake Directions

Preheat Oven. Spray pan.

In a large mixing bowl combine the sugar, flour, salt, baking cocoa, baking soda, vanilla, egg and sour cream.
Beat with electric mixer.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake one bowl sour cream cake for the allotted time or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Frost sour cream cake with your favorite flavored frosting.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
