Crockpot Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Crockpot Stroganoff Recipe with Curly Noodles.

Crockpot beef stroganoff recipe, my, this sounds yummy!
It takes 8-plus hours in the slow cooker, but the prep time for this beef stroganoff is just 10 minutes.
Served with hot noodles, it's Heaven on a plate.
1 1/2 pound beef stew meat
1 large onion, chopped
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 can Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup water
2 – 3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
8 oz. cream cheese

Temp: low
Recipe Cooking Time: 6 to 8 hours
Pan Type: crockpot

Beef Stroganoff Directions

Brown the beef stew meat in the oil.
While beef is browning, combine the onion, 1 pkg of onion soup mix, the golden mushroom soup,
Worcestershire sauce and water in the crock pot.
Stir to blend well.
Add in the browned beef.
Cook beef stroganoff for allotted time.
About a half hour before serving, cube the cream cheese and stir into the stroganoff.

Note: You can either serve over egg noodles with our Dutch Brown Bread,
Or stir the noodles into the sauce. I like to mix mine, the noodles really soak up the flavor.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
