Cranberry Parfait Recipe

Whole berry cranberry sauce combined with pistachio or eggnog flavored pudding for a delightful holiday treat.

cranberry Pistachio Parfait

16 ounces whole cranberry sauce
1 envelope Dream Whip
1 package pistachio Pudding or any holiday flavor
2 cups eggnog or milk

whipped topping


Recipe Cooking Time: 5 to 7 minutes

Cranberry Parfait Directions

In a medium size mixing bowl combine the dream whip with 1/2 of a cup of eggnog. Whip for 4 minutes until thick and creamy. Set aside.

In another bowl combine 1 and 1/2 cups eggnog and the pudding mix. Wisk for two minutes and fold in the dream whip. Layer the pudding mix and the whole berry cranberry sauce in parfait glasses or a decorative bowl for serving.

Set in refrigerator for two hours before serving with a dollop of whipped cream.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
