Roasted Leg of Lamb Recipe

1
2 cloves
1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
leg of lamb (about 5 pounds)
garlic
ginger
flour

salt and pepper to taste

Oven Temp:300°
Recipe Cooking Time: 2 1/2 hours
Pan Type: roasting pan


Roasted Leg of Lamb Directions

Preheat Oven.

Do not remove the paper-like covering from meat.
Wipe meat with clean damp cloth.
Make 4 gashes in roast.
Cut the garlic in half and insert a piece into each gash.
Mix the salt, pepper, ginger and the flour.
Put roast in roaster, fat side up and rub with spice and flour mixture.
Bake leg of lamb uncovered in oven until tender.
Meat thermometer should register 180 ° when lamb is done.
Remove garlic and wrapper before serving.
