Cranberry Chicken

Cranberry chicken recipe quick and easy recipe.
While the cranberries are in season it is a great time to experiment with other recipes.
Cranberries are not just for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

1 – 8 ounce can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 – 8 ounce bottle Catalina salad dressing
6 – 8 chicken breast, halves
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 40 to
Pan Type: 9" x 13" pan

Cranberry Chicken Directions

Preheat Oven.

In a medium bowl combine the whole berry cranberry sauce, dry onion soup mix, Catalina salad dressing and pepper.
Mix well.
Layer chicken in bottom of pan.
Pour sauce over the chicken and bake for the allotted time.

Recipe Serves: 6 to 8

Note: Any combination of chicken may be used, but I think that skinless works best. Cranberry chicken is great served with our Wild Rice Stuffing Recipe.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
