Cathedral Cookies Recipe

1 – 12 ounce bag
1 stick
1
1 large bag
3/4 cup
chocolate chips
butter
egg, beaten
colored miniature marshmallows
walnuts, chopped

Make cathedral cookies with your best chocolate, butter and eggs.


Cathedral Cookies Directions

In top of double boiler stir the chocolate chips, butter and beaten egg, cook and stir until smooth.
Remove from heat and cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together marshmallows and nuts.
Pour chocolate mixture over this and mix well.
Divide dough into 3 parts onto separate sheets of waxed paper.
Roll into logs and refrigerate.
Remove rolls as needed and slice.
No baking needed.
Great to have cathedral cookies on hand when company comes during the holidays.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt.
