Sweet Potato Pie Recipe 2

1 – 9 inch
1/4 cup
1 cup
1 cup
1/3 cup
1 teaspoon
2 large
1/2 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
unbaked pastry shell
butter, softened
sweet potatoes, cooked
granulated sugar
evaporated milk
vanilla
eggs, beaten
cinnamon
nutmeg

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 60 minutes
Pan Type: 9" pie plate


Sweet Potato Pie Recipe Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a large mixing bowl add the cooked and drained sweet potatoes, mash with electric mixer.
Add the butter, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well.
Add the eggs and vanilla; beat until mixture is well blended. Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell and bake for the allotted time or until set.
Serve with a dollop of whipped cream after your favorite meal.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
