Peaches and Cream Pie Recipe

Peaches and Cream Pie

1 (29 ounce) can
1 (8 ounce) package
1/2 cup
1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
all purpose flour
baking powder
non-instant vanilla pudding mix
butter, softened
**sliced peaches, drained and syrup reserved
cream cheese, softened
white sugar
white sugar
ground cinnamon

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 30 to 35 minutes
Pan Type: 10" deep dish pie pan

Peaches and Cream Pie Directions

Preheat your oven and grease pan.

In a medium mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder and pudding mix.
Mix in butter, egg and milk, beat for 2 minutes.
Pour mixture into pie pan.
Arrange the peach slices on top of the pudding mixture.
In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy.
Add 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons reserved peach syrup, beat for 2 minutes.
Spoon mixture over peaches to within 1 inch of pan edge.
Mix together 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over top.
Place in the oven to bake for allotted time or until golden brown. Chill before serving as your favorite dessert.

Recipe Serves: about 8

** 5 or 6 fresh peaches maybe used instead of canned peaches.
When using fresh peaches, peel and slice, heat in a pan with1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water just until all sugar has dissolved.
