Crumb Top Apple Pie Recipe

1 – 9"
5 cups
1/4 cup
3/4 cup
1 teaspoon
4 tablespoons
3/4 cup
1 cup
pastry shell, unbaked
Granny Smith apples, sliced
granulated sugar
brown sugar
ground cinnamon
butter, softened
flour
walnut pieces

Oven Temp: 400°
Recipe Cooking Time: 45 to 50 minutes
Pan Type: 9" pie plate


Crumb Top Apple Pie Directions

Preheat your oven.

Peel apples and slice.
Place sliced apples into a mixing bowl, add 1/4 cup sugar, toss to coat the apples.
Pour apples into unbaked pie shell.
Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, softened butter, flour and walnut pieces and mix with a fork until crumbly.
Sprinkle walnut mixture over top of apples.
Bake for allotted time or until apples are tender.
Serve warm with your favorite ice cream.

Recipe Serves: about 8
