Banana Split Pie Recipe

1 – 9"
1 pint
1 pint
1 cup
8 ounces
2/3 cup
1/2 cup
3 large
chocolate graham cracker crust
strawberry ice cream
vanilla ice cream
hot fudge topping
Cool Whip
nut topping
pineapple ice cream topping

Recipe Pan Type: pie plate

Banana Split Pie Directions

Spoon strawberry ice cream in bottom of graham crust.
Top with 1/2 cup of hot fudge topping.
Sprinkle topping with 1/3 cup of the nut topping.
Spoon the vanilla ice cream on top of nuts.
Top with remaining hot fudge topping and nuts.
Freeze until ready to serve. To serve, cut into slices.
Drizzle plate with pineapple topping.
Top with slice of pie.
Top banana pie with banana slices and dollop of Cool Whip.
Serve banana split pie as a favorite snack in the afternoon.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
