Apple Crisp Recipe

10 cups
4 teaspoons
1 1/2 cups
3 cups
1 cup
1/2 cup
double (2-single)
apples peeled and sliced
cinnamon
flour
granulated sugar
butter
brown sugar
pie crust

Oven Temp: 350º 
Recipe Cooking Time: 45 to 50 minutes
Pan Type: baking pan


Apple Crisp Directions

Preheat oven.

Make pie crust and roll out to fit into a pan.
Mix together the apples, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 1/2 cups of the granulated sugar and pour into the pie crust.

Topping
Combine until crumbly: butter, flour, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar and the brown sugar.
Spread evenly over the apples.
Bake apple crisp for the allotted time.
Serve warm apple crisp pie along with your favorite ice cream.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat.
