Double Dose Chocolate Dessert Recipe

1 – box
1/3 cup
4 squares
1 can
2 teaspoons
1 pint
1 – 12 ounce tub
6
1 cup
9" x 13" size brownie mix, baked
Kahlua, optional
unsweetened baking chocolate
sweetened condensed milk
vanilla
heavy whipping cream
Cool Whip
Heath bars, chopped
pecans, chopped

This chocolate dessert is for adults only.


Chocolate Dessert Directions

Bake brownies according to package directions.
Cool and poke holes in brownies with a large fork.
Pour Kahlua evenly over top of brownies.
Set aside.

Mousse Directions
In a small saucepan combine the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk.
Heat over medium low heat stirring constantly until chocolate is melted.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
Let chocolate mixture cool to room temperature.
In a large mixing bowl beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff. Fold beaten cream into chocolate mixture.


Break 1/2 of the brownies into small pieces and put into bottom of a large clear glass bowl.
Spread 1/2 of the mousse mixture over top of broken brownies. Top with 1/2 of the Cool Whip and 1/2 of the chopped candy bars and nuts.
Repeat layers.
Cover and refrigerate double dose chocolate dessert. Cool chocolate dessert for several hours before serving with your favorite meal.

Substitute, substitute, substitute. Recipes were made to be messed with. Use alternative ingredients to make your recipes healthier. Cook with broth (low-sodium vegetable, low-fat chicken or beef) instead of with oils. Use vinaigrettes or citrus-juice-based dressings instead of creamy ones, which are often full of saturated fat. Try olive oil, skim milk, or yogurt instead of butter or cream. Re-work dessert recipes that require heavy cream with evaporated skim milk or yogurt. For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
