Cheesecake Brownie Recipe

Cheesecake Brownie

Layer 1:

3/4 cup
2/3 cup
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 cup
2 cups
2 large
1 1/3 cups
1 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
1/2 cup
1 cup

Layer 2:

1 – 8 ounce package
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
1 – 14 ounce can
1 large
2 teaspoons

1/2 cup
6 tablespoons
3 tablespoons
1 teaspoon

Hershey's baking cocoa
butter, melted
baking soda
boiling water
all purpose flour
pecan pieces
mini chocolate chips
nonstick pan spray

cream cheese softened
butter, softened
sweetened condensed milk

powdered sugar
baking cocoa
butter, softened

Oven Temp: 350 °
Recipe Cooking Time: 35 – 40 minutes
Pan Type: 9 x 9 cake pan

Cheesecake Brownie Directions

Preheat your oven and grease pan.

Layer 1
In a large mixing bowl combine the cocoa, butter, baking soda and boiling water.
Add the sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla and salt and beat well. Spread in pan.
Sprinkle the brownies with the nuts and chocolate chips.

Layer 2
In a large mixing bowl cream the softened cream cheese, butter and cornstarch until fluffy. Add the sweetened condensed milk gradually and beat well. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. Pour over top of brownie mixture evenly. Place in hot oven and bake for the allotted time. Remove from oven to wire racks to cool completely before frosting.

In a large mixing bowl combine the powdered sugar and cocoa. Add the softened butter, milk and vanilla, beat well and spread over cooled brownies.

Note: If pressed for time you may use a family size brownie mix and mix according to package directions.
Top with the nuts and chocolate chips.
Then proceed to second layer directions.
