Chocolate Cream Cheese Squares Recipe

3/4 cup
2 ounces
1 1/2 cups
1 cup
1/2 cup
2 – 8 ounce packages
1 cup
2 teaspoons
4 ounces
1/4 cup		 butter
semi-sweet chocolate squares
graham cracker crumbs
coconut
toasted pecan pieces
cream cheese, softened
granulated sugar
vanilla
semi-sweet squares
butter

 

Pan Type: 9" x 13" pan


Chocolate Cream Cheese Squares Directions

In a small saucepan melt the first amount of butter and first amount of the chocolate over medium heat stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add the graham cracker crumbs, coconut and toasted pecans, mix well.
Press chocolate mixture firmly into bottom of pan.
In a large mixing bowl combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla, beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
Spread over chocolate layer.
Place in refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.

In a small saucepan combine the second amount of chocolate and butter.
Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
Spread over top of chilled cream cheese mixture.

Return to refrigerator and chill for 60 minutes, cut into squares.

Yields: 36 - 48
