Mud Bars Recipe

Mud Bars

2 cups
1 cup
2 teaspoons
2 tablespoons
1 1/2 cups
1 cup
1 1/2 cups

Chocolate Seven Minute Frosting.

granulated sugar
butter, softened
baking cocoa
all-purpose flour
walnuts, chopped

mini marshmallows


Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 35 minutes
Pan Type: 9" x 13" pan

Mud Bars Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a large mixing bowl combine the granulated sugar, butter and vanilla, mix well.
Stir in the cocoa, add eggs and beat well.
Add the flour, coconut and chopped nuts, stir until well blended.
Spread into un-greased pan and bake.
Remove from the oven and spread the marshmallows over the top of the mud bars while hot.
Let set 10 minutes to soften and then spread.
Cool completely.
Frost with a layer of Chocolate Seven Minute Frosting.

Cut mud bars into squares and serve.

For cakes and other desserts, substitute fresh-fruit puree as a topping instead of frosting. And one of my favorites: pancakes with applesauce, not maple syrup. These changes will give your favorite recipes great new flavor, and your food will be healthier!
