Glowing Sugar Cookie Recipe

1 cup
2 cups
2 large
1/4 cup
4 cups
2 teaspoons
1 teaspoon
2 teaspoons
1 teaspoon		 shortening
sugar
eggs
milk
flour
lemon peel, grated
salt
baking powder
baking soda
sugar for dipping

Oven Temp: 400°
Recipe Cooking Time: 8 to 10 minutes
Pan Type: cookie sheet


Glowing Sugar Cookie Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a large mixing bowl cream the shortening and sugar until fluffy, add eggs and beat well.
Slowly mix in milk and add the flour, lemon peel, salt, baking powder and baking soda until mixed well.
Drop dough by teaspoons on cookie sheet.
Grease the bottom of a glass and dip into the sugar and then press down on cookie.
Bake glowing sugar cookies until lightly brown.
Serve sugar cookies along with your favorite drink.

Recipe Yields: about 5 dozen
