Frosted Pumpkin Cookies Recipe

1 teaspoon

1/4 teaspoon

1 teaspoon
3/4 cup

Frosting:
1/4 cup
1/3 cup
1/3 cup
2 1/2 – 3 cups
butter, softened
brown sugar
granulated sugar
egg
pumpkin
vanilla
flour
salt
baking powder
baking soda
cinnamon
walnuts, chopped

brown sugar, packed firm
milk
powdered sugar

Oven Temp: 350°
Recipe Cooking Time: 10 to 12 minutes
Pan Type: cookie sheet


Frosted Pumpkin Cookies Directions

Preheat your oven.

In a large mixing bowl cream the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until fluffy.
Add the egg, pumpkin and vanilla and mix well.
Add the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon, mix well and stir in nuts.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake pumpkin cookies until lightly brown.
Cool on wire racks after you remove from oven.
Cool completely before frosting.

Frosting
In a medium saucepan combine the butter and milk.
Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute or until mixture thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.
Stir in the vanilla, add the milk and beat until smooth.
Gradually add enough of the powdered sugar until spreading consistency is reached.
Serve with your favorite drink.
